Satyanarayan katha
Satyanarayan Puja is a sacred Vedic ritual performed to seek the blessings of Lord Satyanarayan, the compassionate form of Lord Vishnu. Satya means Truth and Narayana signifies the Supreme Being, together representing divine truth, righteousness, and justice. Muhurat for Satyanarayan Pooja
Although this pooja has no rigid restrictions, it is considered highly auspicious when performed on:
- Purnima (Full Moon Day): The most preferred time for the ritual.
- Ekadashi: The 11th day of the lunar fortnight.
- Special Occasions: Birthdays, weddings, or the start of a new business venture.
Fasting Guidelines
Devotees are advised to observe a fast on the day of the puja. Fasting helps maintain purity of mind and body, ensuring freedom from negative thoughts and distractions before, during, and after the ritual. The fast is broken after the puja by consuming the prasad and seeking the Lord’s blessings.
