   • Arrange Pooja Items: Gather items such as fruits, sweets, betel leaves, betel nuts, turmeric, sandalwood paste, incense sticks, ghee, and any specific offerings related to the deity or deities being worshipped.

3. Invocation (Avahanam):

   • Ganesh Pooja: Begin by invoking Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles.
   • Kalash Sthapana: Establish a kalash (pot filled with water) with a coconut on top, symbolizing the presence of divine energy.

4. Sankalp (Resolution):

   • Taking the Sankalp: The individual performing the Vrat Udyapan takes a vow (sankalp) stating the purpose of the vow, the completion of the vow, and seeking blessings from the deity.

5. Main Pooja:

   • Chanting Mantras: Recite mantras dedicated to the deity or deities associated with the vow.
   • Offering Items: Offer flowers, fruits, sweets, betel leaves, betel nuts, turmeric, sandalwood paste, rice, and water to the deity while chanting the mantras.

6. Havan (Fire Ritual) (Optional):

   • Setting up the Havan Kund: If performing a havan, prepare the sacrificial fire pit and light the fire.
   • Offering Ahuti: Offer ghee, rice, and special herbs into the fire while chanting specific Vedic mantras.

7. Arati (Waving of Lamps):

   • Performing Arati: Light the lamp and perform arati by waving it in front of the deity in a circular motion while singing devotional songs.

8. Prasad Distribution:

   • Offering Food: Offer cooked food, fruits, and sweets to the deity.
   • Distributing Prasad: After the pooja, distribute the prasad among family members and guests as a blessed offering.
