Ganpati Havan

Ganpati Havan is a Hindu ritual dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity known as the remover of obstacles and the god of beginnings and wisdom. This Havan is performed to seek Lord Ganesha's blessings for success, prosperity, and the removal of any obstacles in one's endeavors.

Procedure of Ganpati Havan

  1. Sacred Fire (Agni): The central element of the Havan, symbolizing the divine presence.
  2. Offerings (Ahuti): Items such as ghee (clarified butter), grains, herbs, sweets, and other natural substances are offered into the fire.
  3. Mantras and Chants: Specific mantras dedicated to Lord Ganesha, such as the Ganapati Atharvashirsha, are recited.
