Benefits of Shuddhikaran Puja

Hinduism sees human existence as a progression of stages, with birth and death considered two of the most important and inevitable occurrences. However, a period of impurity that might extend up to ten days precedes these events. Due to physical and biological causes, the environment is deemed impure during this time, which results in a condition known as "Sutak."At the moment of birth, one must observe the Sutak, which forbids engaging in any religious or auspicious actions, whether at home or in public. The goal is to stop diseases from spreading to the mother, who may be frail after giving birth, and the newborn infant. Family members refrain from going outdoors as well because it is thought that doing so can bring bad energy into the home.

A comparable period of impurity called "Patak" is noticed after someone passes away. People mourn during this time and refrain from participating in religious or auspicious events. This window of time enables the safe handling of the corpse and the administration of last rites.

After these unclean times, Shuddhikaran Puja acts as a way to purify the house and its occupants. It purges illnesses, negativity, evil forces, and pollutants, leaving behind a pristine and peaceful environment. The family will be able to breathe freely and experience emotional comfort thanks to this ceremony of purification. It gives the home a feeling of wholesomeness, optimism, and joy and paves the way for a new beginning.
