Water and Leaves: As part of the puja vidhi, pandits arrange 27 leaves from various plants and 27 sources of water.

Jaap from Gand Mool Nakshatra: Chanting of the Gand Mool Nakshatra mantra is performed to attain the benefits of the homam and Nakshatra Shanti puja.

Purna Ahuti: To complete the ritual, Purna Ahuti is offered in the homa during the last stage of the puja.

Prasadam: Prasadam is given to all in attendance following the puja as a sign of the blessings bestowed by the gods.

There are three main variants of Gand Mool Nakshatra Shanti Puja, each catering to specific needs and preferences:

  • Gand Mool Nakshatra Shanti Puja:
    • The puja is led by two knowledgeable Pandits and includes rites such as the Navagraha Puja, Sankalp, Ganapati Puja, and more.
    • There are specific objects for the puja, like food grains, leaves, Jadi booti, and 27 varieties of well water.
    • It is the duty of devotees to arrange prasad items, such as fruits, sweets, and Panchamrit.

 

  • Gand Mool Nakshatra Shanti Puja with 27,000 Jaap:
    • Five Pandits in all carry out the Jaap and Puja rites, which take more than five hours to complete.
    • Rituals like the Navagraha Puja, Sankalp, Ganapati Puja, and 27,000 Jaap are part of the puja.
    • The package includes necessary puja supplies, travel fees, and Pandits Dakshina.

 

  • Gand Mool Nakshatra Shanti Puja with 81,000 Jaap:
    • Conducted over a three-day period, with 5 Pandits performing Jaap rituals each day.
    • The puja culminates in a Shanti Puja and Havan on the final day.
    • The comprehensive package includes Pandits Dakshina, travel expenses, and all required puja items.

Gand Mool Nakshatra/Sataisa Puja Natural Remedies:

To complement the puja and reduce the effects of Gandmool Nakshatra, individuals can engage Perform Mool Shanti Puja: On the 27th day following birth, or as soon as feasible, the parents of a child born with dosha can perform this puja.

Later-life Puja: People might select the earliest day when the moon returns to the Nakshatra if the 27th day is not possible for the puja to be done.

Mantras pertaining to specific nakshatras can be chanted for Lord Ganesha or Buddha (Mercury) by those born under those nakshatras.

Maha Mrityunjar Jaap: Chanting the Maha Mrityunjar Jaap is a way for those born under the sign of Mool to ask for heavenly protection.
